美国老夏在湖南| 这次在北京@BIBF北京国际图书博览会

编者按：迷人的风景、醉人的美食、独特的夜经济、众多的网红打卡点，深厚的文化底蕴……对湖南的热情与向往早就不限于国内，越来越多的外国人也闻名而来。来自美国的老夏（Denis）就是其中一个。他不仅来了，还爱上了这，留在了这。作为一个在长沙生活了五年的外国人，他开始用视频记录这里的一切，不仅让更多的外国友人了解湖南，也给我们了解湖南提供了一个全新的视角。

Editor notes: The increasing number of people, not only domestic tourists but also foreigners from other countries, has been attracted by Hunan’s charming natural scenery, delicious local snacks, special night market, countless internet-famous sites, a time-honored history and rich culture. Denis, who comes from America, is one of them. He came here about five years ago and decided to stay here for a while. He wants to share everything which he experienced in hunan and also provides a new way for us to know our hometown.

湖南人，能吃辣。

Hunan people sure know how to eat spicy food.

湖南出版人，吃辣椒会出书。

Hunan publishers not only enjoy eating spicy food but we are also good at publishing books.

作为早已融入湖南的“当地人”，老夏不光能吃辣，还对出版书籍有着浓厚的兴趣。

As a "native" that has already been integrated into Hunan, Denis not only can eat spicy food, but also has a strong interest in writing.

在刚刚过去的这个周末，老夏和红网记者一同前往北京，参加了北京国际图书博览会。

This past weekend, Denis and the journalist from Red Net went to Beijing to attend the Beijing International Book Fair.

老夏说：“我想将自己在中国的故事写下来，出版成书，非常想知道中国出版业到底是如何运作的。”

Denis said, "I want to write down my life story in China and publish it as a book, and I really want to know how the Chinese publishing industry works."

来到展馆，老夏惊讶地发现仅仅湖南就有如此之多的出版社。他表示很荣幸结识到湖南出版集团的编辑和版权专员们。在盛大的展厅里，老夏还结识了许多出版商，读到了很多精彩的书籍。

When he came to the exhibition hall, Denis was surprised to find that there are so many book publishers right in the province of Hunan. He emphasized how pleased he was to meet the Hunan Publishing Group's editors and copywriters. In the grand exhibition hall, Denis also met several publishers and read so many amazing books.

老夏激动地指着一本书说道：“我非常喜欢这本关于汉服的书，还有一些用于制作汉服服饰的图样。”

With excitement, he pointed to a book and said, "I really enjoy looking at this book which talked about Hanfu and some of the drawings of the clothing that are used in Hanfu."

本次展会还有来自美国、意大利、俄罗斯、阿尔及利亚等国家的出版商，随着热情的交谈，老夏和他们当中的一些出版人成为了朋友。

In this exhibition, there are publishers from the United States, Italy, Russia, Algeria and other countries. With the lively chat, some of them became friends with Denis.

老夏说这次北京国际图书博览会之旅收获颇丰，他希望未来自己的书籍也能够在这里展出！

Denis said that this trip to the Beijing International Book Fair has been really rewarding, and he hopes that his own books will also be exhibited there in the future!
